This might be one of my favourite patterns yet! Butterick 7557 was released between 1955 and 1957 and includes the patterns for cigarette trousers, pedal pushers, a cropped top, and a longer top. I chose to make the cigarette pants and cropped boxy top in French Terry (aka sweatshirt material), so I could have a comfy lounge suit for wearing on long haul flights between France and Aus. I love how it turned out and I’ll definitely be making both again in different materials! ✂️🧵🪡 The full video

I mean THE original it girl, Barbie, wore it when she debuted in 1959. It’s soooooo 1950s! But, I personally love the blue eyeshadow looks of the 1960s.
